ScanBalt IPKN seminar “Intellectual Property Strategies in Bioscience” in Vilnius attracts 40 researchers.

The seminar attracted about 40 bioscience researchers, entrepreneurs, and intellectual property (IP) practitioners mainly from Baltics, but also from other ScanBalt BioRegion countries.

The seminar was organized by ScanBalt IPKN and Institute of Law, University of Tartu and the main sponsor was Fermentas UAB. The seminar showed the growing interest to the the ScanBalt IPKN activities and the understanding of the importance of IP awareness in the field of biosciences.

The seminar focused on the role of Intellectual Property (IP) in creating values by using patents, trademarks, copyright and other IP system tools. Recognized foreign and local experts shared their knowledge and experiences how good management and strategic exploitation of intangible assets helps to enhance the competitiveness in bioscience sector.
